HCM #36 Hollywood Dream Machines - Demolition Man Police Car

Hi all,
I'm going to tackle Demolition Man's cop car, also known as GM's Ultralite the car of the future!
Here is a reference pic:

Here is the first render(WIP):

And Wireframe of un-subpatched mesh:

This is the first car I've modeled in about nine years!!! And back then I only modeled a couple low poly cars for an accident recreation. I will have to hunt down some tutorials on surfacing and lighting the car. Right now I'm about seven hours into the model.

Update V010

Here is an update. Just added basic colors, the fog lights under the front bumper, started the siren. I have to say I'm pleased so far.

Holiday updates

While I have some time away from work I've decided to try and finish up this model... the deadline is looming!

I've added more geometry, and started playing with materials and lighting. I'm learning a lot doing this challenge. I've even challenged myself to work within Lightwave's node editor for surfacing as much as possible.

Still a bit more modeling, surfacing and at some point I need to decide what I want my final render to look like

Finally Completed

Definitely late but I figured I'd share my final render for anyone who is curious. I finished it today. I'm fairly happy with it even though I still see some errors . I'm glad that I participated, learned a lot, and will continue to refine the render and the model for my portfolio.

ONTO THE NEXT CHALLENGE!
