NVIDIA Quadro latest drivers and Cinema4d

I have run into some issues recently (Disconnecting from OGL, error code 3) with my graphics card and I wanted to know how reliable the new drivers are? I had a chat with NVidia and was guided to new drivers to install. Question: sometimes new drivers are worse than the old. Has anybody had good luck with the latest drivers for the Quadro FX 3700? How do they work with Cinema4D? I had a bad experience several years ago when updating graphic drivers and I am hesitant to update and mess something up?
