FXWars Challenge: 36 - Seven Towers - pixeldompteur
Hey guys,
I know I'm quite late joining you but hopefully I can finish at least a short sequence... ![]() Boreas is what I'm going for and the first thing I've done is to create a cool ice shader (fully procedural with layered noise shaders). Next thing on the list is to block out the landscape and the placement of the tower that doesn't exist yet. Hope you like it! Cheers, Philipp ![]() < click for larger image > |

Things are progressing slowly... but hey, at least they are!
![]() Started building the tower and put it into the scene to see what it looks like. Any thoughts? ![]() < Click for larger image > ![]() < Click for larger image > |

Thanks, manja! Yes, that's exactly what I did today... hope you guys like my update. First off, this is the new look and I'm really happy with it. It's a bit too much white empty space on the left but maybe I can find a nice looking object fitting into the scene. ![]() > Click for larger image < As this is a vfx challenge, I thought it might be time to add some particle stuff! ![]() ![]() < Click for larger image > I still need to add some falling parts that break apart form the snow. It's on my list but, to be honest due to the time I've got left, at the very end. ![]() < Click for larger image > You can watch 2 seconds of the animation following this link. No camera animation yet, just snow and some more snow. Hope you like it! http://philippdollinger.com/cinema4...1_test_h264.mov Cheers, Philipp |

man, that's nice!
i just don't really like the movement of the smoke on the right side, looks like there's something hot behind the foreground like boiling water. too much buoyancy i guess. __________________
