TABASCO vending machine, Felipe Mayer (3D)

Title: TABASCO vending machine
Name: Felipe Mayer
Country: Brazil
Software: mental ray, Photoshop, XSI, ZBrush

This image was a study of modeling, lighting, texturing and render based on a concept form the art director Sergio Araújo. The intention was to produce a poster for the new Sweet & Spicy flavor, that's the reason for the peppers to be inside a classic chewing gum vending machine

I used Softimage XSI for modeling e lighting, Zbrush to generate normal maps for the peppers and metal pieces, Photoshop for texturing and post, and Mental Ray for rendering.

Any kind of critique is very welcome

Hope you like it!

Felipe

Nice work. Pity that still life doesn't get enough love here.

If I need to critic, I say the chillis are too glossy. Ok, the wood texture seems a little low res, & I think the brick wall are better if they are modeled, than a texture as we see here, since its so up close.

Thanks for the critic, I agree with you! I'll take some extra time to improve the shaders on the next projects!!
