Switching off shadows/lighting entirely

Is there a way to do this in Max? I'm basically trying to get a completely unshaded image, with no simulated environment whatsoever, so no matter where the object in the scene, and no matter where the camera points, the render will output exactly the same colour values as the texture input.

I realise this would look horrendous as far as 3D goes but I'm attempting to use Max as a tool to warp 2D images onto complex geometries.

This is the closest I managed to get with default lighting, I tried every option I could find and a lot of Googling but that brought up nothing!

Cheers,
Jonathan

On a standard material set the self illumination value to 100
I think thats right can't check as I dont have access to 3dsmax at the moment.

also if you have no lights in the scene the default lights will turn on. Easy way to manage this is to have at least one light that's off.
