Can you direct me for some articles on how to do the effects there using after effects?

Could you give us a specific effect your looking to do. Both shows have over 75 episodes and include a wide variety of effects.

i can't remember all the effects,
but things like:
making shalimar eyes yellow, & the different attacks [mutant-x]...
or on charmed - wire removal & make the golden bridge dissappear... [those things are done frame by frame on ps???]
things like that...

well i can tell you about charmed. I'm not part of encore but I have worked with them. They use after effects most of the time for wire removal. Combustion has been used on some. I have also used 3d tracking software to recreate the whole shot in 3d. After effects is a good way to start out, but dont be commited to one software package.
