Dynamic Curves not following orientation of skinned mesh

Hey guys, I have some dynamic curves attached to a skinned mesh. I have set the start and rest position of the curves and used the paint hair tool to attach them to the mesh. The are on the back of a character and everything looks great until you rotate the character between 90-180 degrees. At 90 degrees all the curves are pointing to the side, and at 180 degrees the curves are still pointing in the same direction (now through the mesh and towards the head). How can I make the dynamic curves follow the orientation of the body?

Thanks.

Well I fixed the problems myself. In case anyone else is reading this post, here was the fix:

Instead of painting on the curves for the hair, I manually created each dynamic curve:

1) Create joints
2) Create EP curve, snap to each joint using 'v'
3) Parent curve and root joint to spine, tail, or other part of rig you want it to follow
4) Make curve dynamic (Hair >> Make Selected Curves Dynamic)
5) Create splineIK using newly generated outputCurve and your joints
6) Voila, your hair system now follows the direction you want it to.
