Diamond Render in 3ds Max (Mental Ray)?

I would like any information or tutorial on how to render a realistic diamond. Please help, Ive been trying to achieve this for about a month now. I need to make a movie with a diamond ring, and the diamond need to be very sparkly.

Start with this:

And make sure your diamond has enough faces, and your environment enough reflectors.

Need more help rendering diamond ring.

I have tried about everything to get my renders to look like the attached picture. Is there anyone out there that can guide me the right way. I'm using 3ds Max 10 and Mental Ray. The picture with the red back ground is what I'm trying to achieve. My attempt is the one with the ugly gray background. I have seen a lot of jewelry render, but none as good as this. Imhaving trouble uploding pictures, but here is a link: http://www.jamesallen.com/?gclid=CO...CFQOFnQodcy91SQ

They have animation videos for all of there items.
