Yeah, that little thing is amazing..seems simple but really there's no end to the complexity and variations. Fascinating to wind up and watch go.
Be sure and check out the 'sodazoo' too..people have made some ridiculous things, but also sublime.
Maybe someday this sort of thing can be done with 3D creations

I had that link on my favorites for quite some time now. The sodazoo gallery is mind blowing. Most of those creatures require quite a lot time and thought to be created.
I wish i had some time to create a creature for the sodarace it could be great.

that's really cool!
I love those types of simulators where you can play with emergent properties and behavior.
I always wanted to find a kind of life form simulator, where you create organisms and set rules of evolution and watch the success (or failure...) of your world... Know any of these?
