Armed And Dangerous, Nixies WIP

Hey guys, this is the closest thing to a concept I have for now. I'm working to create this guy as a semi steampunk/sci-fi hunter. weather or not he just hunts animals - that's undecided, but I have to add his weaponry later and so as the concept evolves we will see, I'm keeping it quite loose. Good luck to all, I'm having fun with this.

Here is the first image of the initial sculpt. For this project I used the mudbox basemesh and will retopologise all, before doing a final detail pass and paint.

...And to get up to date - the trousers and boots have been added, the gloves started and its now in maya ready for retopologising and 'tightening'

I will add the additional gadgets and weapons too at this stage. the head I will sculpt seperately and add to the retopo.

I have sculpted- retopologised and begun sculpting of the Respi_Pak. Used on planets with low oxygen. The pack actually filters the existing air and collects what oxygen there is and compresses it. on planets with no oxygen it also provides a small buffer amount of 1 -1.5 hours.

Next up is the Holo-Watch which works in conjunction with the Seismo glove

I decided to rake him along the route of a mercinary/bounty hunting assasin, the only man able and willing to travel long distances to take out wanted criminals. Once out of the united space control zone, the laws do not apply, and so wanted, 'dead or alive' often means dead.

alot to do here and as soon as I'm ok with it, I will pose and begin the assymetry.

I'm not one of the masters here so this takes me alot of time. someone more advanced could pull this out of their A** but my lack of experience makes this exciting and challenging for me! I really hope to finish to a good standard...

Things are shaping up nicely!

The only thing that feels odd to me is the absence of pressure on the shirt from the pack. But you're probably going to add this later.

Nice concept and nice anatomy over there Congrats and good luck with that holo thing.

I planned some holo weapons for my entry but I won't take the risk and create some good old iron things

I was bored with alot of my entry, so I had my good friend Chris Goff do a paintover. It brings back some excitement and ties the theme together more. I may not have time to add all these changes, but I'll do as much as I can! 10 days ...

GuillaumeV: Thanks for the crit, Yeah i intend to add all the creases and cloth 'reactions' now that its in Mudbox.
