Curve Flow

Curve Flow sets the color to the curve not the particle; and that makes no sense. That curve should not influence the color in any way. I think the particle's color should be set independently of the curve. The curve should just mulitiply the master particle over and over and just be a conduit for its path.

Real spark's color start hot (white/yello) and end cool (orange/red). But the Curve Flow Flow is making All the particles start hot at the beginning of the curve, and then cool at the end of the curve! Not what I was expecting.

The Per Particle Color is affected by the curve now. Not what I was expecting.
That emitter source should be mass producing my little sparkler particle

It looks like your opacity is being controlled by a ramp based off of life. You need to change the colors in your ramp to be inverted to get the look you want. The curve flow set it up that way so your particles would fade on.

I tired it. It only flipped/mirrored the effect.

All I want to do is create one particle, and then it gets reproduced by the curve flow over and over automatically.

I'm trying to reproduce this simple particle on a Curve Flow, so I can automate the animation.

If you want it to repeat you will need to change the max particle count. Or you can just animate the emission rate and then cycle the rate in the graph editor. Curve flow is not setting the color based off the curve, it's basing it off of the particle lifespan. The curve flow just makes the particle take the whole life to get to the end of the curve.

Did you look at the volume particle I made? This is what I'm trying to mass produce/automate with a curve flow. Click Link for animation:

So I think I understand what you are trying to do. You want to get particles that flow down the curve in a small group and the group itself has a range of colors. To do that the best way would be to emit from the original curve flow particle a separate particle shape, that way you get the motion of the curve flow but the colors are not tied to the lifespan of the original particle shape. Here is a scene file, just a quick and dirty one but should get the idea across. And thanks for the compliments on my work!

That's it. You got it! In principle, that's the look I'm trying to automate. But my original particle was a sphere volume, with tubes, using a per particle ramp and opacity to make the particles look like sparklers.
