Stereoscopic conversion project
I am a computer animation student currently in my final year at the University of Portsmouth, England. For my final year project I have decided to research into stereoscopic conversion and compositing, and then create an artefact. I'm confident in tracking, but have more to learn when it comes to compositing in Nuke.
I am planning to convert a piece of footage into stereoscopic 3D and then composite a CG element into the shot. The pieces of software I am using are PfTrack, Maya and Nuke.
Could anyone help me gain an insight into the processes and problems of converting a movie into stereoscopic 3D?
I am also looking for my work to be critiqued towards the end of my project in March next year. How problematic is it to get feedback on stereoscopic work?
Any help would be much appreciated.
