Unhappy Realflow water+glas animation with icecubes - some questions

Hi there!

Well I am not sure if I am in the right place but I hope I am

I've got some questions about doing a animation with realflow 2012 + maya 2012.

I've completed a tutorial in rendering a wateranimation in realflow / maya ( bottle fills water in a glass ). More or less I am happy with the result.

The problem is that I tried to port the informations or technics onto the new scene.
It should be a similar scene but the most important difference should be some icecubes in the glass.
They should rise along with the water filled glass. But they don't seem to move in any kind of way.
My guess was if they are too heavy they won't move in any other direction than to the ground.
Am I right?
Or are there any other options that I could think about to solve the problem.

The other problem is that realflow 5 had crashed VERY often. Could you confirm that it much more unstable than the version of 2012?

Thank you very much!

Kind regards
