Unbeknown to me, Wael Al Khamees (2D)

Title: Unbeknown to me
Name: Wael Al Khamees
Country: Saudi Arabia
Software: Photoshop

I made this work for a competition and I thought it was a good opportunity to learn how to make a realistic looking leather. This is one of the few works in which I painted a composition; I usually do portraits . I used Adobe Photoshop and it took me about 10 hours. I would like to know your thoughts.

Many thanks

Nice play with the depth of field. That is definitely favor for the photo looking thing. As for the leather, i think its good, very nice "wear off" spots on the jacket - my favorite is the collar...
Beside that, the general values OR contrast level could be tweaked a bit. It can work fine, if we imagine this as a low exposed picture. However it would work better if you add sharp highlights, maybe a bit glow (around her hair) and adjust the background blurry stuff a bit by playing with the values to have a "different" focal aspect on the picture, not only the focus.
I hope this makes sense... anyway, nice work. Keep it up!
- observe... it can only achieved by understanding -
