Free Offset Tag

Just came across this idea in a forum and thought I'd share the very simple Python tag with you guys. It allows you to offset an object using the same parameters as the modeling axis tools while the actual axis of the object stays at the same position. It works for all objects that generate geometry. This means, it only works for parametric objects like a Cube, Sphere, Cloner, Profile-Spline, whatever. But not for polygon objects.

Resulting editor display on a Cube primitive:

There's one flaw though: If you have the bounding-box display enabled in the viewport, the BB will stay at the original position while the geometry is moving.

Save it in your content library and paste it on any object you need it. Have fun!
