Vray distributed rendering - different bitmap brightness on node computer

Hi guys,

This is getting me really confused and maybe there's someone here who could answer my question.
Only one bitmap in my scene renders differently on both computers, and I've been still wondering why. Squares rendered by a node comp on this specific bitmap are brighter.
I tried to save the file as a jpg (now its tiff), no luck. Tried to add bitmap on different material, same thing. Checked path, it's ok.
When I put any other bitmap on this wall , everything goes right - i.e. bitmap with same pattern but silver color, the one which is on the left wall, renders well.
What's going on here? Anyone has any idea what may be causing this problem ????
thanks

Chaos like it if you take VRay rendering issues to the Chaos group forums.

I think this issue has come up a lot before so you will find help there... because it could be a variety of things.

We're having this issue on our farm, but for whole frames in animations,, and it seems like it's due to wrong service packs for those computers.

Which vray version? Do you have the versions installed on all nodes?

I agree this is probably an issue to ask directly to chaos group...

Vray 3.6 on both.
Ok guys, thanks. I'll ask on Chaos forum.

Forgot to mention a "fix" for us, it's to change all bitmap filtering type to summed area. There is a script that does it globally.

Catche....
I changed the filtering type and it helped!
Many thanks for this hint mate, I owe You a beer.
I wouldn't ever suppose that it may be causing such issue...but why only on this bitmap?
This will remain a mystery.

And if you use the vrayhdri map instead? (which is recommended)

No problem!

And yes it is strange, it does only happen for just a few bitmaps.
