I am curious why jbgamboa recommended QUT? Are you an ex-student?
If so, is your lecturer still teaching in the animation faculty?
Be sure to check student portfolio on Youtube and Vimeo before signing up.
They should be able to demonstrate good application of fundamental animation
principles to create animations that has a sense of weight and natural movement.
Digital Tutors' videos on animation is a good starting point to grab some basics.
