I take your point, of course, but it's not so much more trouble to do it in Painter. If you learn the keyboard shortcuts and use right click then it's a reasonably smooth operation. Having said that, I usually paint in Painter and edit in PS. I love it when the PSD file automatically updates in PS after painting in Painter.

I still cannot see thumbnails of psd files created in Painter. They appear as a blank tn.
Has this been fixed?
Also after some operations Painter automatically makes the canvas active, and if one was working on a layer before, it is very easy to mess things up..

With PSDs made with Painter X.1 I see the thumbnails in Photoshop but occasionally I have to click on them to make sure they are in the right order or updated! Maybe partially fixed then.
