More Backburner Issues

I have had a functioning pipeline for ages but touched Backburner and it broke and I'm trying to get it working once again. Here's the pipeline:

MAX2010_64 SP2
BB 2008.1

All systems have these installed. On the BB Manager system, the Manager fires up just fine (all the task items load fine), all the Servers connect to the Manager just fine. But when I submit a net-render from MAX, I get an error and a corresponding error in the Manager dialog.

On MAX: Error submitting job to manager. 500 error creating new job 'jobname'

On Manager: Error creating job instance for 'jobname' (created by Autodesk 3ds Max 2010 64)
Error creating new job 'jobname'

Any ideas what can make BB accept the render job?

Thanks!

Actually, the previous functioning pipeline was with MAX2010_64 SP1... I only recently installed SP2.

Are there known issues with MAX2010_64 SP2?

If I choose to uninstall using Add/Remove Programs, there is no listing for uninstalling the SP2 update only. Is it possible to roll back to SP1 so I can test to see if SP2 is causing the BB problem?

Thanks for any ideas.
