Text Creation Plugin?

Hi,

does anybody know a really good text creation plugin for maya, 3ds max or cinema4D, where I can create text from fonts, with a better and more flexibe bevel function or a better meshflow than from the standard text creation tools inside the programms.

I often have to create 3D text with different kind of bevels for advertisment and I it would be nice, if i don't always have to build the mesh by hand.
Or is there a special method wich gives me better results with the standard text tools - maybe I am using the wrong settings. My main tool is Maya.

Thanks.

Hi there,

Of you are using maya, i think the default text editor can be really powerfull, you can choose and load any font you want, and choose if you want to create curves, bevel, etc... If you choose bevel text, the attribute editor contains a lot of parameters you can play with. Just take the time to try each parameter and you Will be able to create Nice texts in no time.

Hope it helps..

GreyScaleGorilla have some really great stuff. CityKit is one tool that lets you create entire cityscapes in a few seconds but included with that is a smaller plugin that creates text built into the city similar to the Inception text. They've also jsut released a new tool called Transform that lets you apply various "deforming" text effects.

Other way is with a smart curve imported from illustraitor.
You can import your text in this way and apply nurbs modeling, extrude/bevel, etc.. and then convert to polygon.
