Question Technical reference

I work in video games as an environment artist. I would like to learn more about the technical aspects of the games; programming, rendering, shaders and so on.
I am looking for some good references, such as books or magazines, that could be of help to an artist.

I'm not sure what sort of environments you are creating, but here are some good references to use for real life environments.

Since your question is about the technical specifics of game development, you might want to post your question at our game artist forum instead:
