File problem

Hey there
I have been working on something for some years now, when I had the time.
Now the model is fine and is how I want it to be, but file is #"%"%!!
it takes forever to load, is very slow at everything (for example, it takes 3 seconds to do a undo) and it crashes constantly, when I delete things, combine edges or opens the material editor, and other thing I can't remember right now.

I started working on it in version 2009 and now I use version 2012. I have tried to remove geometry, materials, and resize bitmaps, but nothing works.
And I have tried to merge the model into a clean file, but nothing works :(

Do you have any method or advice to how I can clean the file and continue my work?

much obliged

definitely a bug-ridden scene. Have you tried exporting the geometry as an .obj and starting a fresh scene? Import the .obj>reapply textures/materials>merge the lights>etc...

Sometimes it helps if you delete all noteTracks: http://forums.cgsociety.org/showpos...04&postcount=18. Run that two lines one by one in MAXScript listener and see if it helps.
