How to work outside the format box

I'm working in nuke after transitioning from AE but there something I quite don't understand.

I'm working on some stabilised HD footage, which means that part of the footage sometimes falls outside the format box.
Is there a way to see the pixels which fall oustide the format area and work on them without applying a transform node to bring them back in the visible area?
The project is also set to HD.

I'm sure it's a super easy to solve issue, but I cannot get my head around it.
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

make a reformat node, pick a higher resolution and set resize type to "none"

You can also right click in the viewer and select 'show overscan'. Also selecting 'viewer settings' from the same menu will allow you to adjust the amount of pixels overscan to view.
