Unhappy Keep getting locked in Camera Pivot mode

Hi all -

I'm still fairly new to C4D R14 and keep running into the same problem continually.

Somehow when I'm working on a model, the camera pivot gets locked and I'm unable to use any controls to pivot or move objects around.

I've scoured the web for solutions and tried toggling "Set Camera Pivot" with Home and Shift + Home to no avail. I delete my preferences folder & restart Cinema and after a while, it resets and I'm able to move/scale/rotate shapes again.

Is there any workaround or way to disable the Camera Pivot mode?
