Any tutorials or tips for stylysed\cartoonish textures?

I seek advices for painting non-realistic textures. I do not mean that simple ones, when you just slap cell-shader onto model and it's done, but complex ones... Here is perfect example of what I mean:

I can see general trend of these, but any additional information will be much appreciated.

Hi Darth - I created this tutorial on Borderlands style texture creation.

I based it on the hand-painted style of the Borderlands series of games. I go over my thought process as well as step-by-step for the execution. I found it to be a fun style to work in, hope this helps you!
