IES and small objects

Hi ,

I am modeling a hadbag from leather.Having done the stiches ,which are 0,12sm..I couldn"t solve the problem that came up with shadows ..The stiches would through shadows only at a certain distance from the leather surface if I get them closer than roughly 0,2sm there are not shadows from the IES vray light I am using ..why is that and how can I solve that ? any idea.
Thanks

If i understand your problem correctly, you might want to try lowering the shadow bias.
