Adjust Spline Tangent Lengths Independently w/o Breaking Rotation

Is there a way to adjust one tangent's length WITHOUT breaking the linearity of the two tangents?

If I use shift the tangents break completely, and I can move the length of the selected handle, AS WELL AS the angle of that tangent handle. I want to ONLY adjust the length of ONE SIDE of a spline's tangents.

This seems like a really basic function, but I cannot find any info on this.

Thanks.

Oh, wait... Figured it out...

Use the Scale tool. Then Scale with Shift held down...

Wish I could simply hold down another modifier like in Adobe products.
