Fantastic Doc on the quality of for Profit Colleges..

The PBS news program FRONT LINE showcases the quality of education of for Profit schools. the case they showcase is about one veteran but the info they found affects ALL students enrolled in for profit colleges.

For-profit colleges promise veterans a high quality degree -- but do they deliver?

Not all "for profit" colleges are equal

In the vast majority of cases, I would agree that attending a "for profit" school is a bad idea. this certainly applies to Kaplan University, Art Institutes etc. However, there are a few "for profit" colleges that aren't bad. In fact, they are quite good. The main one that comes to mind is School of Visual Arts especially for their animation/computer art major. The DAVE school is considered to be quite good for what it does as is Gnomon, Animation Mentor etc.

I do agree, however, that kids need to be extra careful when considering most other "for profit" colleges.
