Matt Damon, Malin Grön (2D)

Title: Matt Damon
Name: Malin Grön
Country: Sweden
Software: Photoshop 6.0

Started drawing this portrait to get a feel on how it was drawing something in black and white before colouring it. Still not happy with the colour, therefore I post the monochromatic picture.

Some tips and tricks on how you best put colour to a greyshaded picture would be most appreciated.

Anyhow, heres the colour : http://www.bobified.com/malin/portf.../Matt_Damon.jpg

Hi Malin,

Yep, that's Matt Damon, no doubt about that.
Nice painting, great mood. You like painting people drinking coffee, don't you

Anyway, a couple of minor crits.
Try to work on his left hand a bit more, looks a bit unfinished. It also seems smaller then his right hand but that's not really disturbing... btw, the hand holding the cup is excellent, although the position is a much more difficult one to draw.

Very nice work,
Jeroen

Ruggigt likt. Till och med färgbilden var bra.

Kanske matta ut färgerna lite.

English: very good etc etc

Why colour it? I think it's better in grayscale!

Thanks for the comments!
I will do a second try, as soon as I get some time to give the colourversion some love ;p
I completely forgot to say that there is a wip in the WIP section at:
