Occlusion & Frustum Culling in C4D?

I was reading about the Unity engine this morning and one of the features was "Occlusion Culling" by Umbra Software.

Found a short 2 minute video of GPU accelerated Occlusion Culling

Here's a little longer video from Unity:

They both mention Occlusion and Frustum culling. I vaguely recall some C4D equivalent scripts to help speed up the viewport like these methods. Anyone know of something like this for Cinema?

Interesting topic. I dont understanf why they talk about "baking" the Culling. Is this not for live editor performance? Does it work on a freely interactive Scene or just with a animated Camera?

I think Unity 3 required baking. But the new Unity 4 is realtime? I think.

In any case, it would be cool if some C4D Camera script could do this to speed up viewport speed.
