VRay User Attributes Tutorial

Hi CGTalk community,

I've finished to translate my VRay User Attributes tutorial in english.

It explain the combination of VRay User Attributes with vrmesh to render high density crowd without have thousand of shader.

This method have been used for horse crowds in Black Gold.

You can use user attributes with texture. At the end of the tutorial there is an example.

But if you talk about tiled mip mapped texture, yes you can.

If you want to go further with this type of stuff, you can use python to do quite a lot of modification of your Vray renders.


I used a similar (but different) method to Narann - by looking up user attributes and using python to assign texture variants to objects.
