"Borrowed Time" Animated Short Film Teaser

Hey all!

On behalf of our crew, I wanted to share "Borrowed Time", a new animated short film that our team has been working on in our spare time for five years!

Today, we've released our very first teaser online, and as many members of our crew are fans of CGSociety, we wanted to share it with you!

We're just starting to promote the film throughout the short film festival circuit.

Feel free to view our teaser:

Thank you for watching!

"Borrowed Time" is an animated short film, directed by Andrew Coats & Lou Hamou-Lhadj, and produced by Amanda Deering Jones.

The music was written & performed by Gustavo Santaolalla, composer of The Motorcycle Diaries, Biutiful, and The Last of Us and Best Original Score Academy Award winner for Brokeback Mountain and Babel.

"Borrowed Time" Synopsis:
"A weathered Sheriff returns to the remains of an accident he has spent a lifetime trying to forget. With each step forward, the memories come flooding back. Faced with his mistake once again, he must find the strength to carry on."

Thank you for giving our short a look!

I'm amazed this isn't getting more attention.

This kind of aesthetics is something I'd like to dive into, for quite a while I have wanted to do so. It looks spectacular, I only hope the story is as good as the visuals.

When will we be able to see the whole thing? I'm guessing it won't be available for a while, at least after it has gone through the festivals circuit? Oh well, I'll wait patiently for it.
Good to see Gustavo Santaolalla making the music for this as well.

Thank you!

Yep, we'll be submitting to festivals throughout the end of this year. We can't wait to share more.

Very good teaser.

Definitely looks interesting. It seems as deep as other Pixar works, but is obviously in a theme-space that Pixar would probably not want to use.

Then again, never say never.
