Houdini course?

looking for a school that teaches more Houdini. I want to get into FX, but it doesn't look like very many schools have a houdini course or even teach it in their programs. Has anyone heard of any schools that have it?

Here is a list of some from SideFX: http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?opt...=116&Itemid=217

And I know that fxphd does some Houdini courses as well.

Check out http://www.lostboys-studios.com/

I studied there and I think its the best investment i have made in my life so far. Now they actually have a program dedicated to fx and its houdini-centric. The people there (mentors and admins) are really nice and really help out the students any way they can.

Don't take my word for it. Just take a look at their student reels and judge for yourself. Call them up and arrange a tour of the school. I am sure they'd be happy to show you around.

PS. I am not associated with them in any way (apart from being an alumni) but I really do think they have a good structure to their programs and it's worth having a chat with them, especially since you are in Vancouver.
If you fail the first time... So much for skydiving...

Check out Digital Tutors et. al.

My daughter is currently taking a course in Houdini thought Digital Tutors. Also, School of Visual Arts probably has one. If not, the will over one though independent study.

CG Masters teaches Houdini and has an extremely experienced and talented faculty. CG Masters teaches Houdini for more than just FX work.

Worth putting on your school research list.
