How do people get polycounts up to 50 mil points

Hey I have a pc with an i7 processor, 8gb of ram, 2gb video ram, but my computer normally gives out around 8-10 mil points. Ive seen others have about 20 mil on a active sub tool. What is the best way to get that kind of performance?

Give at least 1 subdivision to your ztool(model) and then add HD Subdivision untill you get the polycount you want!
By going your coursor onto the point you want to edit and pressing A you will enter in edit mode of HD subdivision!

But be carefull!!!
This mode is only when you need to add extreme detail(For example skin poures/holes,seam for the cloth or wrinkles to faces etc.)

When your model is done and you need such level of detail do what i said above!
Then bake normal,Dissplacement to add to your low poly!

By pressing A again you exit the HD subdivision mode and if you press it again you enter in it!
When you exit from the mode you don't loose anything!

This is a technique so Zbrush don't tax all the polygons in one scene!

Hope i helped!
