Help with Vray

Hi,

I have heard a lot of great things about Vray, so last week i finally decided to try it.
And when I say try, I mean to download and install a pirate-copy of it. Before buying it.

I have now watched a couple of tutorials and I really like it. BUT, its so terribly slow!!!
Even with really basic and small scenes, it takes really long time to render.
BUT, when I do "render region" on smaller parts, it goes much faster! I can render the whole scene faster by doing it part by part, then it would render when doing the whole thing.

I heard that the pirate-copies could be more slow then the real ones. Is that true?

Thank you!

Seriously? Are you really expecting an answer when you come here and admit to using a pirated software??

Chill man! Im not doing any real work, i am just evaluating it.
I'm not defending piracy, im just saying without it probably nobody in this forum would have been able to learn the skills they now provide.

But you may be right, may be no one will answer. :(

How do you can evaluate a piracy software which is not updated, which has bugs (because it is pirated) ?

There is a demo of VRay, or you can ask a full VRay limited with the time.

I guess the best way to find out is to go download the real demo from chaosgroup and try it out. Register at their website and you'll gain access to demo download page.
