Weird textures when rendering

So I got a bunch of models but when I import them something strange happens, in the view port it shows the correct texture (though it's a bit too dark) but when I render it the texture shows up all white.

I'm new to 3ds max and i have no clue where to start,

File that i'm using:

My guess is that your exposure is wrong which is causing the default lights to be too bright for your scene.

Try creating a custom light and adjusting it and see if that works.

No still not I added a custom light but it still appears weird

Can you show a picture of the material on it? Also, can you crop the image or have a link to the highres? Right now, the images are so small that it's hard so see.

In maya it seems to work except i get this weird black shadow in the middle of the ship

Go to bitmap parameters of your maps in material editor and set alpha source to None(opaque). I did that and it's rendering fine now. Hope this helps!
