Matte Painting Hall of Fame

Future publishing's CG awards includes a special category with a Hall of Fame recognition, which is usually given to the individual artist who the community wants to recognize for making an outstanding contribution to the industry. Last year Ed Catmull, president of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios received this honour. I was hoping that this year, as matte painting enthusiasts and supporters, we could nominate Weta Digital art director Michael Pangrazio, whose work has inspired all of us over the past 30 years.
