Pause a Fluid cache

Hi guys,

At the moment I am caching a very large fluid simulation. By mistake I started caching it on my ssd which have only 240gb of space. It will fill up any moment...

Is there a way to pause the cache, move the cache file to an other drive, and continue the fluid cache on that drive?

Thanks

you can't "pause" a sim.
Sre you caching in maya GUI or on the farm? if in Maya, you could press Esc.. you will stop your sim. Move the files where you need, and they try an "append cache" command.
But to be honest, if this is an important sim, I would cache it again from the begging. I'm not using often the append cache, and ages ago I got some strange result with it in the sim's behaviour

Thanks for your suggestion.

I re-started the simulation, luckily it only had been simulating for around 3 hours, so its better stop it now than later.

Thanks!

in maya 2012 you can 'append cache'. so move your cache files, apply it to your fluid node and then append from the frame that was cached out.
