TriPlanar is the bomb

I've only used it in Octane so far but triplanar mapping is so incredibly useful.

-With some models you can avoid custom UV mapping by using it.
-You can mix materials in some awesome ways.
-One interesting use case: You can leverage altitude slope w/terrains
-When you can use it you have zero seams

And...it's incredibly fast and easy.

Little off topic, but Substance Painter also has/can use triplanar mapping and there it also looks great...

Most have, Redshift also has a triplanar node. Cycles Bender can do to, i suppose Cycles 4D should be able.
