I just discovered that exporting images as PNG format supports transparency.

i'm finding zbrush 4.5 a little buggy so save often - use quick save and also incremental saves.


other than that it's a nice update.

Awesome update and as ever free (which is astounding) but each update I find myself thinking 'please please please' focus on painting. Proper painting that I can use with texture sheets and layers on anything 3d.

I work in games and the poly painting is, by and large, unusable (as, sadly, is mudbox which hates low poly models)

Yes a couple of annoying quirks for me too. When using Extract, only the edge smooth option is available. The surface smoothing option isn't visible at all. Not a big deal really, the improvements in 4R5 make up for it.
