UVW Uwrap and Render to Texture getting blurry results
Hello everyone I wish my first post was contributing something instead of asking for help but I'm kind of stuck here.
I bought models for buildings and I put together a city in 3ds max for a game I'm working on and I am trying to reduce the drawcalls by combining all materials into one and all the textures into one texture. I was able to use UVW unwrap to put all the meshes together and align the UVWs for the new texture and then I used render to texture to create the new texture which consists of all of the smaller textures. So far so good but when I apply the new material the texture it gets extremely blurry, I don't know if I'm missing a setting somewhere when rendering to texture or if it has something to do with the resolution but I have tried 2048x2048 and 4096x4096 for the final texture and it looks the same.

Side note: I'm using 3dsmax 2010 because 2013 doesn't seem to have render to texture, it has render map but I cant select it, maybe because I'm using the student version.
Side note 2: I've looked into flatiron but I can't figure out how to activate the plugin. I think flatiron will do all this for me automatically so if anyone knows how to use that that would be good to.
