My computer is busted
I wonder if you can help me out here, I´m in one hell of a problem.
A few minutes ago I inserted a pen drive into my old computer's USB and the computer froze.
I pressed the reset button hoping to reboot it and now it won´t restart.
When I switch on the computer, the screen appears with the P5K SE ASUS screen.
Then I get this message:
USB device over current detected!!
System will shut down in 15 seconds.
And the computer switches off by itself.
Windows XP home edition
P5K SE motherboard
3-4 gigs ram
Ge force board, can´t remember the series
Is there a way to remedy this?
I have tried disconnecting all USB devices but the problem persists.

You may have damaged your USB connector. Try opening up your computer, and unplug the wire that runs from your USB hub to your motherboard.
