I make this evil weapon for a pc online game.
But I really enjoy the making progress, Softimag|xsi is a comfortable tool for the 3d artist,I think.
It's my first post,
All comments welcomed:)
There are two chinese letters on base of the Gun,
It means " big snake "
that's all, Hold it now!

Smile Snake Gun, August.zhang (3D)

Hey BigOrange,

Very nice model. I like the detail and the texturing. Pretty cool concept.
I think you could all a bit more depth to the image by adding some shadown to it.
It seem as if you got a picture of the wood and added the model in Photoshop with a dropshadow at the bottom, instead of modeling it.

However, if you look at where the light is hittig the model, and the wood, it is from the top and front. This means that if you were to add a shadow going backwards, you would pull the model forward thus making the picture more dynamic.

Just a thought. You do not have to listen to me, but I think it is a bit flat without that, or those shadows.
