Fumefx & P.F Events...help Please

Hi all,

I have a very basic setup of PF.
In Event 1, the particles drop to a Deflector. (like rain)
In Event 2, they collide/spawn & bounce up. (like splashes)

So my problem is:
How do I tell Fumefx to simulate event 2 ONLY.
I do NOT want to simulate the particles falling to the surface.
I just want the simulate any particles that bounce up (event 2)

Question> Is there a way to simulate specific events??
Or am I missing a very simple solution right in front of my nose?

You need afterburn so you can use the pflow aBurn operator to specify the events you want.

You can also cache out only the events you want to krakatoa prt and feed the prt's back into the pflow system.

If none then you are pretty much left up to some pflow cache trickery with Cache or Disk Cache. Simply drop a Cache/Disk Cache in the event you want to sim, cache the system, turn all non-cache events off, then run the simulation.
