without UV

Good afternoon. Please tell me what the inscription means

Apply UV Mapping -or- use Polypainting without UV Mapping.

when trying to translate Polipaint to texture appears the inscription.
I understand that I really need the coordinates uv, but is it possible to do without them.
Model paint and bake all in texture without uv?

What exactly does this?

-or- use Polypainting without UV Mapping.

If you want to bake your polypaint to an image at some stage you MUST create UV's.

Otherwise how will ZBrush know how to put your polypaint onto a 2D map?

If you don't need to take your model and texture out of ZBrush for whatever reason then you probably don't need to generate UV's at all.

Take the time to learn how UV coordinates work and this will become clear.
