Vray Render Issues.

Hello all,

I have a couple issues with Vray render.
The image shown below is rendered using Vray.
1. How do I get rid of the jagged edges you see on the tube lights in the scene?

2. The far away room or warehouse has mental ray lights on it. For some reason I see the lights lit only on some renders. Sometimes I have to just turn it off and then on in the Vray light lister to see it on the render. Why does this weird thing happen? Is Vray not compatible with mental ray lights?

Please help.............

for the aliased edges, turn on "clamp colors" in the vray settings.
as for the mental ray lights, what makes you expect that vray would be compatible with them?

Is it the clamp output on the color mapping section of the Vray settings that you referred to.

"Compatibility" does not mean that something will not work. Something may fully or even partially work.

"Compatibility" generally refers to a developer offering full support of a particular feature or feature set, unless said otherwise. Meaning that they intentionally test/check/code their software to work with particular features or features sets then back that up with support.

Thanks Johnny,

I had to revert back to mental ray for the time being as I am running out of time, so right now out of V-Ray. Will try it in another project.

Just thought of touching it, but learned that I should invest more time on it to get its optimum quality. But after coming back from V-Ray,now I am loving mental ray more.
