Infinite Picture's SmoothMove technology

Did anyone here ever work with the SmoothMove panoramic plugin? I think they disappeared around 2003ish. I wasn't sure if there was something else out there that could do the same. It would render panoramic movies (a still or an entire animation) using the standard render engine of 3ds max.

I worked with it creating interactive animations for a bit back on the early 200x's. As far as i know, the company that purchased them focused on the hardware side and killed off the software development. I don't think there is anything off the shelf that provides the same functionality today.
When an innovative product is killed off, it's amazing how long it takes for it to emerge again:
While being an excellent use of the technology and first rate presentation, this was created recently:

Technically, it may be the first ever interactive animation holiday card but it's not the first interactive animation by any stretch.

it was an interesting holiday card for sure, a little hard to control and very quick. It was very similar to the SmoothMove other than being able to control the play and reverse motion while moving.

I'll keep searching around. We loved that tool, I remember being really bummed when it was discontinued. We used TurnTool for sometime, now we are working with Unity and UDK.

Your company produces nice work!
