Maya Locators to MotionBuilder Optical data

Hi, how can I use animated navigators in Maya as optical data in MotionBuilder?
Tried to export them as Fbx and snap an Actor to them but didn't seem to work?

Edit: Found a work around: Export Maya Locators into FBX, then import them into MotionBuilder and export then as C3D, then reimport them. Now they are seen as optical data, but I still have problem with assigning the data onto the Actor...

Please help!

Edit2: Ok, found the problem. Seems like I can use FBX Locators. Doesn't have to be categorized as optical data. I didn't assign 3 or more points to the pelvis. It had to have at least 3 points in order to move.
... so then my question is: where can I find a list of minimum/maximum number of points for each body part for the MotionBuilder Actor?

I`m not a mocap specialist but I believe minimum is three because otherwise it would be difficult to track roll rotations with just two markers.
