how to create a multiple object particle trail

Hi

Does anyone know how to make a particle trail that will consist of lots of different geometry objects either using mograph or thinking particles? To be more specific it needs to be a particle stream of numbers and letters. I only know how to assign one object to an emitter in thinking particles, rather than a few different ones.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many Thanks

if you donīt mind to use plugins - Xparticles has a text option for the sprite object that alowes to send out letters and figures either randomly or a user defined text

Create a cloner and set it to object mode. Then clone on your trail particle group. Now you can drop all your different shapes in the cloner.

Cheers

just another quick question. do you know how to make a nice looking particle trail with a ball of particles at the front, so it looks like the stream of particles are coming off the ball? it seems there are a lack of tutorials on object based particle streams.
