Hey, now I've had some spare time to test your scene.

Amazing, the vector renderer do the job perfectly.

I need to push that solution a bit further though.
I want to render also the hidden edges, which is very simple with vector renderer, but I also want they to be less bright than the front ones.

With MAYA Toon I only have to make object's shader semi transparent to get that effect, but I can't do it with vector renderer since it always render the hidden edges the same as the non-hidden.

Any ideas?

I do not have the solution. Maybe a compositing work could do what you want.
